Aisekai's focus is on one-on-one AI character chats. Asekai uses OpenAI's APIs to power its platform, as such it does not officially support NSFW and introduced a filter in November 2023, when it also announced it's looking for external funding.
Aisekai is free, and being free is part of their founding philosophy.

These fuckers bait and switched people. They said they won't become C.AI (no filter) but days ago they just announced they'll be filtering NSFW to attract investor. But what's worse is their promise made people donate to them for their cause, only to be bamboozled by the recently enforced filter. Their privacy policy also states they can and will read your logs, submit it to law enforcement if needed, what the fuck?
Started off strong and stood as the best free uncensored service only for them to turn around and suddenly censor it. They lied to their community by saying they wouldn't censor it!
High potential. But the dev ruined it.
This was so good until they overcomplicated it. Now there's a shop and a server and a bunch of useless shit. What the fuck AIsekai?

It was pretty damn good for what it was... a "hopeful" Character.ai killer. And it had a LOT of potential to be that.
It followed character descriptions very well, and generated VERY good responses that were in charcter, and great story building. ERP wasn't all that great, but still... it was there, and it was good. The model could've gotten even better with training over time.
However, money became a problem, and Aisekai fell to the whims of their investor. They chose money over integrity - their site just grew way too fast for them to sustain. They did try to prolong the inevitable filter for a while, but time was ticking and they needed to deliver. But then decided to just shut down instead of cementing their fate as hypocrites. It's all a shame, really.
It raised my hopes, then absolutely crushed them to dust. But it was good while it lasted.
Total shit. Not even worth to be reviewed. Developers are clueless liars.
